Can I register a Serbian company through WarmShell?

Do I need to be in Serbia physically to register?

No. DOO registration can be done remotely via a power of attorney. For bank account opening some banks require in-person presence; others allow remote opening. For residence permit you do need to be in Serbia personally to file.

What's the corporate tax rate in Serbia?

Corporate income tax is 15% flat. IT companies with registered intellectual property (IP Box regime) pay an effective rate of 3%. R&D costs are deductible at 200%.

What's pausal taxation (Preduzetnik)?

Pausal (Flat-rate) taxation is a simplified regime for sole traders (Preduzetnik) with annual income up to RSD 6 million (~€51,000). You pay a fixed monthly tax regardless of actual income — the simplest and most popular regime for freelancers.

Can I get a residence permit through my Serbian company?

Yes. Appointing yourself as director of a Serbian DOO is one of the most common paths to temporary residence. The process: register DOO (1–2 weeks) → apply for residence permit (2–4 weeks) → receive permit. Renewable annually. After 3 years you can apply for permanent residence.

Basic is €35/month for a virtual office and business address. Standard is €80+/month for a physical office. Advanced is €275/month for office, address, and monthly bookkeeping.

What does bookkeeping include?

Monthly income and expense processing, PDV (VAT) filings (if registered), quarterly advance corporate tax, annual financial statements (bilans stanja, bilans uspeha), annual tax return, and APR annual report filing.

Russian, English, and Serbian. All dashboards, support, and contracts are available in all three. Legal filings with APR and MUP are in Serbian (we handle them). Client-facing documents are bilingual Serbian+English.

Banca Intesa (largest bank, most foreigner-friendly), Raiffeisen Bank (Austrian group, excellent English service), UniCredit (Italian group, international experience), OTP Banka (convenient online banking). On Advanced we personally escort you to the bank.

Unlike the US, Serbia has no CMRA flag and no legal registration limit. We voluntarily cap physical offices to keep service quality high. Virtual addresses have soft limits only.

What's the difference between virtual and physical address?

Accepted Answer

A virtual address is a legal business address for APR registration, mail, and official documents — you never visit the office. A physical address adds actual office access, a dedicated desk during business hours, and meeting room booking.

Do I need a PIB (tax number) to register?

No. PIB is automatically assigned when we register your DOO with APR. If your company already exists, we verify the PIB during onboarding. For new registrations you'll have a PIB within 5–7 business days.

I'm a Russian citizen — are there restrictions?

Serbia is one of the most Russian-friendly countries: visa-free entry, no sanctions, simple business registration. More than 2,000 Russian-owned companies already operate here. Banks may perform enhanced KYC, but this is standard procedure — not a rejection.

Can I use a WarmShell address for my residence permit?

Our physical address (Standard and Advanced tiers) can be used as the company address for the residence permit application. You'll also need proof of personal accommodation (rental contract for housing) — that's a separate MUP requirement.
